Ministry 37

The beginning of this ministry:

The call went out during a men's Bible Fellowship study one night that one of our members, a widow, needed help with some minor repairs on her roof and fence. A couple of men approached the leadership of the church and said they would like to take on this project. This was the beginning of Ministry 37. Its name comes from 2 Samuel 23 where it speaks of King David's Mighty Men - "there were thirty-seven in all."

What we do:

Men from our church join together to help widows, those convalescing from surgery, or anyone who is unable to get those minor projects done around their homes. Some of these projects include: roof and fence repairs, fixing things in the home, mowing the lawn, weeding, general clean up around the yard, painting and even helping people move to another home. Ministry 37 has also helped those who financially could afford the materials but not the labor for their projects. They also have done various projects within the church such as painting, putting up shelves, cleaning the parking lot, weeding and being available for any other needs that may arise. These are some of the projects that Ministry 37 has been involved with and they look forward to more opportunities in serving the church and it's people.

How to get involved:

We would love to have you join us in this vital ministry. No special skills are required! However, if you do have a specialty we will do our best to utilize that as well. The only requirements are that you have a desire to serve others, a willingness to work hard and to not be afraid of getting a little dirty. So join us for a great time of fellowship and service to others. Know that you will be blessed, as you bless others with your service. For those of you who are interested, give us a call at the church (361-0861) and we will get you connected with the men of Ministry 37. God bless you!
